Is this career good for me?

Hi, I'm Kamek and I was wondering if this career is good for me, as I have been led to believe it is. I talk to God and Jesus all the time. I see spirits all the time. I talk to them a lot, all the time. The thing is, I've never done a reading for anyone. Jesus says I should do angel readings. I lack a lot of confidence in myself. I'm wondering what you guys might pick up about me, would this be successful? And I'm sorry if I'm wrong about any readings that I do. I peer into a crystal ball and ask questions.

Thank you for your time, and I hope you answer.

Welcome to Anybodythere, Kamek. Yes, there are a few of us still here.

I am glad you are sharing your gift with others. It's a great way to practice and refine your skills. Please don't apologize for possibly getting a reading wrong. You get a message. Sometimes it isn't real clear, but you put it into words to the best of your ability. Sometimes your words aren't the right fit. This happens to me as well. Over time I have become better at putting the message into words. It takes time and practice. It would be different if you were charging money or helping people with life decisions.

I would be happy to do a read for you if you like.

Hi Sanford_P! Yes, I would like a reading please! :)
I just started practicing here. I hope they're accurate readings, because I've been told they are by my Spirit Guides. And Jesus is one of them. I have a bunch, but they don't always know what's right or wrong. One time, I saw my higher self give the shrug motion. It literally didn't know the answer lol. But I guess it's just funny when it does that. Okay. If you can give me a good reading about this, I'd be happy. I'm a girl, but I'm very masculine. I also wear robes a lot. And I have round glasses.

Kamek, who is a girl, but very masculine- and she wears robes a lot. I must say I have never met anyone like you or even somewhat similar. Sharing your gift here and getting better. You will get more in tune with your guides the more you work with them.

You want to know about a career move. Is it right? I don’t know the future. Even if I did, I would not share outcomes with people. It’s a dangerous path. So what sort of career are you considering? I will tell you this. Many people change careers during their working years. Whatever you decide now will not lock you in to a particular career path. I was fortunate (somewhat) that I knew what I wanted to do at age 17 and made a career out of it- that is until I got laid off at age 53 and found myself unemployable. But enough about me.

From your picture I can see you are a non-conformist. The corporate life is not going to work for you. I’m thinking something in the arts or some other creative endeavor, where you can use your wonderful intuition. I am being drawn to my Gilded deck for your read tonight. I will meditate on the question, “What sort of career best suits Kamek?”

I really don’t know how much help this is going to be. I see a lot of feminine energy and big, really big, changes coming your way. The Death card fell out of the deck as I was shuffling. The Three of Swords, the “heartbreak card” was also drawn. Together these two cards indicate loss of something you hold dear. I hope it has happened already. The message of Death is that sometimes we must let go of some aspects of ourselves to grow something new. If you are graduating from college and joining the world of work, your carefree college days are over. Maybe you were living in a sorority, had tons of friends, and threw parties on a regular basis. You cannot continue to live like that in the working world. Death does not destroy you completely, it’s more of a pruning so that new growth can flourish.

Maybe this career move takes you away from family and friends. Perhaps it will require you to move out of the security of your parents’ house and find a place to live on your own. Perhaps a relationship just went bad and you are struggling to figure out who you are without defining yourself in terms of others. One thing is for certain, you cannot stay where you are. Let’s consider the next two cards.

Next card I drew was the Empress, Major Arcana 3. The Empress is the mother archetype. She is passionate, but her passion is mostly internal. As the mother, she creates and nurtures. But she is no stay at home mom. She creates all sorts of things, projects. She turns ideas, inspiration into manifestation. When you draw this card it means you are in a position to create, to give birth to a project of some sort. Recognize, celebrate, and honor your senses, the physical world, and nature.

I don’t imagine you do much celebrating these days. The loss and uncertainty have turned your inward, focused on what is gone, and what you can no longer depend on. This card is telling you that you are ready to step out on your own and start something (a new career perhaps)?

The last card is The Lovers, Major Arcana 6, only three cards after The Empress. The gilded deck has a very sensuous depiction of The Lovers. They are partially immersed in water indicating their love springs from the subconscious, their dreams. All the elements necessary for a deep and passionate love are there. Dolphins play in the background. They are creatures of water but possess elements of human surface dweller- intelligence, communication, and group behavior.

You are connected to all that is right now- the waters of the subconscious, the ground beneath your feet, the pulsing life of nature all around, and a firm connection to the spiritual realm. This is you. Really. It may not feel like you, but don’t doubt me. You do have choices to make. Consider all your options, weigh the pro’s and con’s. Don’t let one aspect of the decision overshadow all others. And above all, have some confidence in yourself. If I am right, it’s no coincidence that things were removed from your life at the very moment you were ready to burst forth and start something new, understanding you have abilities yet to be manifested. It’s a cliché’ I know, but use your resources, your connections, your inner strengths. You will become stronger and more confident in time. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, to get messy. Don’t even be afraid to modify your career path as you learn more about how you fit in.

I envy you, Kamek. You have a world of possibilities in front of you. I’m just trying to keep things together- and read the cards once in a while.

Wow, thanks for your reading, Sanford_P! I am in the creative arts, I'm just not sure what to do with it. I made a mask of a dragon, and I wanted to wear it around town. I have a lyre, I can't play it, but I could bring that with me and make it more of a performance thing. But someone said I looked stupid and thought I should stop. The goal was to sell things wearing the mask. It was homemade, by the way, I made it out of paper mache. But winter's coming, and I don't think I should be outside doing that. Especially during covid. So I decided to do online readings where I paint an angel for everyone who pays $5. And I would give a short reading. But I'm very very very very very worried it might be wrong. So I didn't know exactly what to do with that. I'm hoping I'm accurate enough to do it.

And lastly, I've been worried for my husband. He does all the work, and I wanted to help pay the bills. I thought I would try to get a business going, but it's taking longer than I thought. I keep thinking he might pass away before me at some point. So we're trying to eat healthier now. I just hope he's okay. It's been causing me a lot of unnecessary worry. I keep thinking about what would life be like without him? And the answer is it would be awful. So I'm really hoping he's okay.

I appreciate that you gave me a reading; it was pretty good! Thank you, it was pretty accurate. I do need to work harder. And the stuff you said about careers evolving makes sense. It makes a lot of sense that I won't end up in one place, it will just evolve into something else. Thanks again, I appreciate it. Sorry to hear you were laid off. Best of luck to you, and I hope you continue to do readings.

I really don't understand how Death and the Three of Hearts figure in. You seem to be at a steady state point in your life. You want to become more- I understand that. Do you have any ideas?
