Same Religion , Different Religion

I am a Catholic l by birth iving in a country which follows multiple religions like Hinduism, Islam, Buddisim, Zorastrainism, Sikhs etc

I couldnt help but Compare the similarities each of these religions have

Like for example LIGHT, we use Candles, others use Diya;s, lamps, Fire boxes ( humas) etc

Water has a symbolic link in almost every religion and it mainly symbolizes cleaning and signifies bonds

Insencse,/ Sage/ diffusers   is another common thing.

Fasting : each of the religions encourage people to fast , like we have lent Muslims have Id Fasting, Hindus also have certain auspicious days for fasting.

From the spiritual aspect some of the practices make sense and are also good for mind and body.  So is religion a man made aspect. Why do we have so much in common. i haven't delved into it deeply But on the surface, i have come across enough of similarities between the Bible and the Bagavat gita (holy book of hindus).

Though majority of todays world issues are based on religious differences . I guess we have a lot  more in common than the differences
