There is a piece of land in the woods around Springfield called Devil's hole. There once sat a nice house built in the 80's for a rich family. The land sits closer to Mt. Zion, as the legend goes the family did not stay in the home for long. Strange things constantly happen. When our team was contacted some teens reported the stair case moving, walls moving and getting trapped in the house. When we arrived the house was severely decade but stable enough for the investigation. After extreme research we learned the land was part of a strike gone bad with union workers and the state. The state trying to decrease the cost of coal in the area.

 Too make a very LONG history short, a battle broke out between railroad worker and miners all of which died but two. Estimated twenty or more where shot and killed. This land was  believed to be Satan's playground.

Upon initial set up of cameras and equipment we did notice the stair case at the entrance. Above the stair case was a wooden plaque that said "Welcome to Satan's den." Very creepy. During the investigation I had a horrible feeling all around. I did pick up some spirits but not many which I found very strange. The night was boring really, we got a few good shots that could be explained by normal elements.

The EVP's are what made our night. (Wish I had them, grr team leader!)  We had screaming, gun shots, grunting, crying, pleading, moaning, unexplained foot steps and a few scary voices. One of which was very deep and almost growling saying, "I will get you too!"

After the investigation we left the Devil's Hole and the team Leader claims she had been followed. She had marks all over her as if attacked by an animal. We decided to return to Devil's Hole.

Weeks after the investigation we went back for a follow up only to find the land completely blocked by fallen tree's. We hiked up the drive way over the tree's only to find nothing. No House...No rumble...complete empty lot where the house use to be.

The team learned through word of mouth that the area was zoned for the Lake 2 project. Apparently Springfield is adding another lake, but the other houses have not been torn down yet.

oh wow I cant imagine! I wont be going near lake two for sure now rofl.
