SmileyOn Christman eve, on  the way to visit family, simply put, I changed a older woman's tired that had gone flat on the way to evening religious services. Guess that might get me a little karma, Smiley

Mystery man hands out wads of £50 notes in supermarket after 'coming into some money'

Shoppers were left stunned when a mystery man handed out wads of £50 notes to strangers in a supermarket.

The man slotted unmarked envelopes containing cash into people's baskets as he sped through the crowded aisles of a Tesco in Tilverton, Devon, shortly before Christmas.

It was only once the grey-haired benefactor, whose identity is unknown, had made his getaway that the unsuspecting shoppers discovered the envelopes contained cash.

Each festive bonus was accompanied by a typed letter emblazoned with the greeting ‘Happy Christmas'.

A personal message underneath read: 'I have recently been fortunate enough to have come into quite a lot of money - more than I need for myself and my family.

'So I thought that I would share some of it with other people - the £50 enclosed is for you. I hope this enables you to have a little extra cheer this Christmas.

'You do not have to do anything other than spend the money - and it is real, there is no trick, no hidden cameras or catch. Just have a happy Christmas.'

Shocked shoppers thought they had fallen foul of a practical joke, with one elderly couple from Sampford Peverell even taking the note to a bank to get it authenticated.

The pair, who wish to remain anonymous, said the man had a backpack stuffed with envelopes that he handed out at random as he hurried through the crowded aisles.

The husband, who is in his eighties, said: 'He just smiled, wished us a merry Christmas and was on his way.

'I am sure he was giving out other envelopes and it’s such an incredible gesture.

'The envelope was blank and we nearly threw it away, but I am glad we didn’t. It was such a fantastic gesture.

'You don’t really expect supermarket shopping in the run-up to Christmas to be such a wonderful experience.'

His wife, who is in her seventies, added: 'We are hugely grateful to this man for such a lovely gift.

'It’s not just about the money, it just made us feel that there are people out there who are genuinely good and selfless, and realise there is more to life than money.

Havent been on here for a while, but haven't stopped doing my kinds acts though!

Let's list here what they have been;

Day 36

On second day of xmas I decided to cheer up the man that works in the pizzeria in our street who couldn't be with family. I took pots and pans and spoons to the pizzeria with a friend and we sang xmas songs for the man. It was sooo funny and it made him laugh too.  Grin

Day 37

Next day I spoke to my ex who told he met this girl and he had been invited to spend new years eve with her in Belgium. He thought since htey didn't really know each other it would be weird to go. I told him to take a risk for ONE TIME in his life, because he didn't know what he was missing out on. And he went.. after new years he thanked me for pushing him to go. (yes me and this ex are still very good friends)

Day 38

I treated a friend to some drinks who barely had money.

Day 39

When doing the dishes, I also did the dishes of my housemate that were in the sink.

Day 40

I prepared some snacks for a new years diner at a friends place.

Day 41

My friend had an awful lot to carry to another friend's place, so I met her up to help her carrying it there.

Day 42

Drove my friend to see her daughter again, it was her daughter's b-day. Her lift had canceled on her.

Day 43

A girl that I know, but yet fail to understand was very sad. I just put a comforting hand on her shoulder as I passed her by and asked if she was ok. She smiled, and usually she can't even be friendly with me.

Day 44[/]
I took some time to talk to a guy I've been pre-judgmental of for a while now because of things I've heard from other people. I realise I have been wrong to pre-judge. It has happened to me in life so often.
He actually turns out to be really nice.

[b]Day 45

In the supermarket I complimented this woman an beautiful colorful scarf she was wearing.

Day 46

It was time for me to go home from work and then I saw one of my kids very upset, sitting by herself. I went up to her and asked what's wrong? She told me her cat had died that day. I stayed with her for 10 minutes, because she was so sad. Together we thought of a way that she could remember her cat and feel that cat with her in her heart. I know the dying of an animal usually is extra hard for  a child. I've been through it myself when I was little and remembered just how I felt.
