Old story worth re-telling... The Banana Post
02/24/11 at 21:12:12

Back when I first found the internet and was learning to be a psychic reader.... my later to be partner in our own site and I stumbled across a website for the bereaved, name withheld for fear of mail from mod.

They used to allow readings, then they kind of stopped allowing it.  Had a big message board.  My friend was doing readings at the time but used to suffer physical annoying symptoms from them so she gave it up over that (did a reading for a man who lost leg in accident from a mortal wound, would up limping around for a week and a half, that kind of thing)

Once my friend was stuck off line with a broken computer ... when she all of a sudden had cravings for bananas.  She hated bananas personally.  Finally after several days of putting up with this, she said go to 'blah blah website' and put up a post about my banana problem.

I told her I would be put it off because it sounded stupid. This was approx. 1998.  Then at the culmination of a few more days.. she went to the movies and got stuck eating banana candy she didn't even like.  She calls again and says, You didnt put up the banana post yet, did you?  I said, Alright alright.. I'll do it right now!

Reluctantly I go to the site and put up a quick paragraph about my friend's banana dilemma.  Within twenty minutes, I note a reply from a young lady who had lost her boyfriend.. cancer I believe. When her boyfriend was literally on his death bed, the young lady and he made this pact that their code word would be 'banana' and the boyfriend would try to somehow get a notice to her to let her know it was him and he was alright.  The young lady was overjoyed to say the least!

The post was then immediately deleted because techically it was in the 'no more mediumistic type posts allowed'... but the young lady had time enough to print it off and it made a real nice keepsake for her.  After that, any time anything stupid came up in a reading, I would just offer it anyway instead of prejudging and on many occassions, the person had some old story concerning the bizarre communication and was happy to have recieved it.

What a lovely story, thanks so much for sharing. I have actually learnt something today...to relay any and all information, no matter how silly it seems. Just because I don't understand it, doesn't mean it's silly Wink
And like you said...the person receiving the msg will no doubt enjoy it and it might even brighten their day Smiley

Thanks for reading.. Sugar... I'll give you another one...  a friend of mine, she lost a highschool friend, he was very young.  So I'm trying to do a reading and I got a flash of somebody tying a generic set of shoelaces.  I ignored it cause how ridiculous was that?  Then it came back again and a third time.  Finally I gave up and said.. Ok.. I see somebody tying a pair of shoelaces... I was trying to ignore it but it came back now three times.

Then the lady, Gladys... was immediately thrilled and her eyes welled up with tears of happyness, because she explained that she used to tie her shoes a certain way in highschool and this lost highschool friend used to make fun of the way she tied her shoes and it was a "thing" between them...

Then Gladys rushed out of the room all excited to tell her husband... and her husband actually looked a little jealous... like maybe this old lost friend had an attraction with his wife and hubby wasn't so thrilled to hear that this guy could actually still reach his wife somehow. (small snicker on that one)
