I have a sort of numb feeling when I deal with spirits now, like they don't scare me as they seem to scare other people. Occasionally they might startle me when I see something in a mirror, but their presence doesn't scare me in a deeper, true kind of way. Though, through the fall of this year, we got in touch with a nasty demon. The board wasn't what initially attracted it, but an error on my part. I had been walking home and I noticed a shadow following me. I said, "I can see you, you know. If you're going to follow me around, you can at least help carry my groceries." Of course, I didn't think it was a demon, but my ability to see him piqued his interest.
That night, my roommate Bee and I used the board. Our guide and angel started eluding to a demon out of no where. A moment later, a light in my room flickered, dimmed, and returned (This light had never done this previously) and a new entity seemingly "took over" the board. Again, our curiousity and lack of fear kept us on the board instead of banishing and protecting.
Lots of strange things happened in this house after that point. Lights would flicker, we could hear stomping up and down the stairs, and walking from the uppermost floor. My other roommate began sleeping with his light on, claiming that "something stands outside my door at night". I remember one night, everyone in the house had woken up at five in the morning, and my room roommate reported hearing chanting in another language outside his room. When I finally came to my senses and tried to banish it, it stood outside my door, waking me frequently. But again, I didn't feel much, would flip him off and go back to sleep. I knew fear would solidfy his power, so I did not give him my fear.
