ajudicate through a medium or a spiritual guide.
bless the occasion and ask for guidance and peace for your well being in doing so.  what do u feel (this place)?

Aside from most Civil War battlefields, that are generally hauntedd by a variety of "ghosts", I have to say the 200 yo, home I am involved in restoring. My fathers ancestors have lived it for sometime, recently vacant for about 50 yrs. though it was amintained as best it could. The house is pretty much of "sacred site", not anything to be scared of but a respect for it, it's furnishing, near-by family graveyard, etc. Well, when I can get off, I stop by and talk to the construction supervisor, who tells me of all the "recent odd **** that has been goin' on." At times, various buiding suplies get relocated, from just behind a workers back to 2 floors below. It can also show the interestt by building supplies being relocated from where it was pilled to where it was needed. I havee no many of "them" are there. I can't get a roll call but left out a pad for them to sign in if they so choose. Some do decide to come home with me, no idea "who" but the dogs seem to show great interest in "something" Things get relocated here, nothing that is a bother and "whoever" , "it" or "they" are, the visit is usually short, a couple of the days at the best. I don't welcome investigators, of any type, as I wish my privacy, and it's impact on my employment. So don't even think about asking me about it.

There is an old house close to the town i live where is considered haunted so one evening i was very close to that house and i saw a shadow of a woman in the windows, i was so scared and i thought it was my imagination, however after that experience i started to search data for that house and i found out that other people had seen something similar . Very scary though!!!!

I can tell you there are many houses here that are haunted.  I just remember being with my ex, and his aunt and cousin moved into a new house after there father/husband commit suicide.  I walked up to the door and felt a heavy pushing on my chest and a choking around my neck.  I told my ex and he said, "yeah that's why I brought you here, I want to know what's going on in this house".  I was really annoyed (see why we are not together lol), that  he didn't even warn me so I could at least protect myself.  This was pure evil in this house.  Many people died at this house and I was sure that if you dug up the back yard you would find "something".  I couldn't make it past the entry way really, my ex walked around the house with me for a minute, and then I told him we had to leave.  Apparently the cousin had said the dogs would start barking and twirling on two legs in circles up towards the ceilings, and she felt something, but she thought it was her father.  I wasn't going to be the one to tell her it wasn't her father, her cousin could do that for her since he was sensitive as well.  I left that house and told him to never bring me back there again.

There are many ways that you can do this.

Firstly, what a previous poster suggested about a medium...that's a good idea.  They can give you an indication as to whether or not it's an active haunt or a residual one.

Hold off on the EVP, however, until you can get more information.  You never know what it really might be.

EMF meters and thermal scanners help as well.  Anything between 0.1 and 2.0 is normal for EMF readings (normal household appliances and telephone wires.)  But anything higher can mean an unusual spike that could potentially be a spirit.  Use the thermal to check for temperature fluxes.

Cameras are helpful too.  A camcorder with night vision, and a digital camera set to burst shooting.  I don't take too much stock in spirit photos, but you never know. You may get lucky. Wink

For someplace that is loaded with various types of "paranormal" activities from solid body images, to various sounds from no where, a replay from a "burial at sea of a killed crewman, the battleship USS NORTH CAROLINA, docked in Wilmington, N.C. is a great place to visit.
