I always thought that whenever you smell something which has nothing to do where you are (like the toast for example) is a message from an angel, spirit, being telling you that they are there.

Personally, I tend to smell floral scents and sometimes cigar smoke (my father smokes but they smell extremely different to this one) randomly during the day or night.

Also, one time I was at my best friends house in his backyard and we were heading inside and i smelled cigar smoke so clear, I actually thought someone was smoking nearby.   I told him and he said he didn't smell anything, and of course nobody was out nearby.

I don't really smell smoke too often anymore, I smell fragrences of cologne more frequently now.

well i have to agree with Hyphezya, because that happends to my dad he smells lysol and when his dad was dieing they used alot of lysol and we havent owned a can of lysol since my grandpa died about 12 years ago, but the thing is he smells lysol i actualy see my grandfather as clear as day, and the thign is that the sperit is probably just checking in or is watching over you to make sure your safe. at frist when i saw my grandfather was 3 years ago but i was 11 then and now that i have a greater understanding on all of this stuff i know that he is just watching over me, and probably the same thing is happening to you. elejet like what hyphezya had told you that you don't have to get alarmed when you smell it again. get alarmed when something happen that cannot be easily explained.

well astral i believe in your comment when it comes to scientific matters but if it is a symptom of Olfactory Hallucinations; a brain tumor then how come her/his sister smelled it the way he/she smelled it too? so that means that this two person who had smelled it means that they have the symptoms of Olfactory Hallucinations?

base on my observation, this two person smelled this kind of burning toast and not the other person with them its because it is a spirit who just visiting them that is link to their family or people who is close to them. one supernatural being.

in the spirit world, the families, loved ones and friends or people who have close to our hearts may visit us for the reason of visiting or they have unfinished business. but some of the spirit have forgot some of their memories and got stuck where they died and can go along to the place that the spirit had only remembered doing when they were alive.

if the burning sensation continues, ask your families and relatives if they know a person who died with the same smell. as far as i know, it doesn't hurt you physically right? so don't be afraid.

all the people have the sixth sense or commonly known as the 3rd eye. some of as gifted with an open 3rd eye. some of us they're 3rd eye is still tightly shut so they don't experienced paranormal activities. some of us they're 3rd is is still opening that is for the late bloomers. late bloomers can experience some paranormal activities in not full length view. like by the sense of smell and can feel the supernatural beings. can also see but not that really clear. the 3rd eye is not always open. it have moods too. it will open suddenly and just close. we experience sometimes like that smell because the being wants to acknowledge his/her presence to you and your 3rd eye had been access to your senses in the higher level even for just a second.

if you meditate, you can achieve to a higher level of senses of your 3rd eye but don't do this on your own if you don't have the knowledge about this. ask for paranormal experts when you want to open your 3rd eye fully. having an full open 3rd eye have a great benefit but with a great responsibility too.

its like in computer, you can use a computer without an internet but you cannot access to other user or to the internet world if you don't have an internet connection. that's what I'm talking about in the sixth sense. you cant access to the supernatural world if your 3rd eye is not active.
