CHAT ~ Development and PRACTICE reading room "terms of use"

WE are a Paranormal and Psychic Resource... which includes developing abilities. As a community we are rapidly growing and many members are wanting to understand their abilities and safely develop further in a supportive environment. Understanding that 'PRACTICE' is valuable we are supportive of this need and have created a room exclusive for Development and PRACTICE. Please follow the policy's and rules set forth; they are in place to protect the integrity of the site, the safety of the sitters and protects the practicing readers credibility as well.

Prerequisites:
PRACTICE readings on this site is a privilege offered to participating members @ anybodythere. We ask for a minimum of 25 Quality posts on the forum boards & a minimum 2 weeks waiting period after registration, before new members can offer readings/practice in chat. Honoring these conditions indicates an intention of joining the community and shows an appreciation for the site. In the meantime, we encourage participating on the Members Readings and Consultations board as well as A picture = 1,000 words until permission is granted. Both boards offer many opportunities to practice.

Guidelines/rules for readers:
No readings are allowed in chat by any person under the age of 18
• Members MUST have a minimum 10 "quality" posts before they are entitled to receive a reading.

• ALL PRACTICE readings must take place in the Development & PRACTICE room, under the guidance and direction of a MODerator and or Mod/teacher. Depending on ones experience and basic skills (grounding, protection, opening & closing, chakras etc) a MOD may insist that a new reader wait for the attendance a teacher.

• Private readings in chat PM's or via the forums are NOT permitted. Please understand that this condition is a precaution, for both the safety of the sitter and the reputation of readers. Public readings on this site is the only way to earn respect and credibility within this community. Please do Not take advantage of our memberships to invite members off site for private readings. Anybodythere.net can not tolerate anyone using 'Chat' to solicit payments for readings or other services. Anyone found doing so can be instantly banned.

• Sitters must give their permission to be read.

• A reader should feel drawn to certain person to read for. This will cut down on readings that may appear to be 'cold reads' or 'fishing' for a link/validation. However, understanding that sometimes 'random' spirits do present themselves, readers will be asked to 'move on' if after 5 minutes no link with a sitter has been established.

• We don't want to see anyone (MODs or readers) burn-out. A reader is limited to 3 (30 minute) readings in a row; this can equal 1.5 hours. Moderator/teachers have the right to use their own discretion and may ask a reading to wind down and complete as it nears the 30 minute mark. This paves the way for fair time for other readers, as well as the sitters hoping for a turn.

• Reply to this thread indicating agreement with the 'terms of use' and Speak with a MODerator
• (optional) Post a brief BIO/Introduction re: a little history, your abilities and experience to let members know you are interested in PRACTICING readings in Chat and/or on the forums.

NOTE: In order to keep the list of readers manageable for the MODERATORS, Members who have not been participating in the Development and PRACTICE room for a month+ will be removed from the 'terms of use' thread. Simply read and re-sign the agreement if returning after an absence

Guidelines for sitters/viewers
• Enter reading rooms quietly. Please understand that interruptions can be harmful to the readers focus and concentration and Moderators will quickly 'silence' any interrupters..

• Free readings are a benefit for participating members. We ask for a minimum 10 QUALITY posts on the forums before asking for a reading. Note: Even with the minimum posts, instant readings are rare. Leave a request on the Members Readings and Consultations board with a specific reader or patiently wait for a psychic to feel drawn to your request/username. Do NOT Private Message the readers with reading requests. It's a NO NO to pester for readings. Dependency on psychics is not encouraged.

• Sitters should reply with only simple answers for validation (yes . no . maybe . close) Sometimes, it is hard to not say more and a moderator will gently remind you if you forget. Validations may be explained after the reading has ended.
