What utter nonsense.

Entities can not attach themselves to you... it just can't happen. We've been told time and time again from spirit that the natural laws of effect prevents such a thing occurring.

Man can be obsessed but never possessed!

I've done many, many so called ghost hunt and house clearances - and in every case the cause of any disturbance or attachments is ignorance and misunderstandings.

I'm tired of hearing and reading nonsense that blames spirit for what is in affect, fanciful imagination.

Why do we forget logical and commonsense thinking when we discuss the so called paranormal???

How a simple   Questioning  can turn into a debate is interesting.Smiley

Although Chris Connelly's response seems brutally contemptuous he has made his opinion clear that he does not entertain the thought that attachments or possession is possible and is entitled to this belief. Afterall, he has been told time and time again this is not possible.  

This isn't true for everyone though, and to me it is  obvious our personal belief system has a role here and if we don't believe attachments or possession is possible  then we don't NEED to take steps to protect ourselves.  

It's not enough that religions dictate possession is possible... it's also the onslaught of paranormal shows which are designed to engage our interest and entertain us, by instilling a 'fear factor' to draw emotional responses.  Unfortunately  this leaves an impression that evil spirts, attacks and possession are common,  and I feel just as  Angry  angry about this as Chris Connelly.


Honestly, I am not sure what to think myself, I was raised Baptist and heard time and time again that possession is indeed possible. Sermons based on this topic, and plenty of lickins  which were meant to knock the devil out of me, when I misbehaved as a young girl, were enough for me walk away from the church as I reached my mid-teens and rebelled against these teachings. And although I don't believe it is possible for me to become possessed I can't deny that in others experiences this has been reported to happen. I don't want  say one way or another if all cases are created from imaginings or NOT .. but I do agree with Chris that in many cases this is likely so.  

I would say that feeling protected is the only way to walk into any kind of 'spirit' experience, especially if you think that a problem could possibly arise.  Feeling protection is largely a state of mind, and drawing on what YOU believe in all is you need to do; say the Lord's prayer if the words help you, carry a cross or other amulet, visualize a white light of protection surrounding you or whatever you can think of to remain positive and unfearful and enjoy your outing.   Smiley

Chris, this might be your truth as taught to you from "spirit", but not all of us hold the same belief you do, or have the same convictions of your teachings.  

With all due respect, I offer up an alternate view. I, from personal experience, can tell you quite plainly and with as much conviction, that discarnates can if they wish, attach to a person.  You do not have to agree with this, it is irrelavant.  Nor do I have to agree with you, that is the beauty of the exchange of knowledge people can offer on forums such as these.  And responses such as this one to people that are attempting to gain knowledge are counter productive.  If you wish to share your insights, it might be more condusive to teach and explain your reasonings, rather than preach and belittle.

if you don't think a higher being can physically grip you and throw you around, then pick up your cat and chuck it at a wall. i bet it holds a very different belief to you.
i'm sure their are many generations of wild animals out there that simply do not believe in the "Human" myth. does that rob us of our reality, does it stop us from being able to man handle things smaller than us in ways that are not understood?
a fish has no idea what a "hand" is or even if they truly exist, sure they have heard the age old rumors but that whole opposing thumb stuff is nonsense.
under your nick it says medium, i've made a leap and figured that means you have some experience or belief in this stuff. if you don't and your sick of reading about it, just don't click on the links.
